just when we get there and we dont over power the people that have not participated in this activite of preplanning we will tell them only a couple of things then we will shut up and listen to some ideas that they have.

things that we will tell them
setting = this includes time period and its based in a bar (if thats right)
our character ideas = this is for people like monica and jessi that can't really change their characters, i will give the bare bones to my character (who i would prefer not to be a killer)
how many killers = this is so that they get an idea of what to plan and also includes how many deaths their might be and who must die (chris and sam only at that moment)

this is so that they get the most opprotinty to get their ideas out without us shooting every thing down since we preplanned everything. talk to me if you have diferent feelings on this.

o ya if no one can come up with much then we start to put out our preplans alittle at a time just so the new people still have the opprotunity to have thier ideas heard.

Well, Tony (Monica) is going to be killed, and between he and Chris, they are the main part of it. Other people may be killed, Sam, and can we kill Zach Alden?, but I belive it's really about Tony and Chris.

Oh! We can give Sam and whatever others we may kill histories they don't know about. We can make Sam Chris's other contact, or his henchman, or whathaveyou.

We can go through the list of people from last year, and then kill everyone who didn't take it again... that could be fun. Spreads a nice message: Don't mess with the WhoDunnit crew, or you'll be sooooooo dead next year. And come back. Because, seriously, we're just that amazing.

i agree with that but we dont need to tell them who to kill unless it chris. if they need ideas then we will tell them

I agree with Matt. We should definitely try to keep the details down, so it's not so overwhelming. Tyler in particular has been rather vocal about the need not to overpower the new kids. Maybe we should just take a few minutes at the beginning and tell them our general setting, character, and sketchy plot ideas to put everyone in the mood, but keep the details to a minimum. Maybe write up some sketchy ideas on the board. The only characters we know for sure anyway are our PI, flapper, and barman, and the really sketchy ones can be tweaked however someone wants. (what's also nice is that none of us is the murderer)

A good side benefit to this is that it will put everyone in a mindset to be compatible with our idea, before they have a chance to come up with conflicting versions. So they'll be thinking along our lines instead of fighting our vision, because you know how hard it is NOT to think of something once someone's said it. We're sneaky that way!

also since it is a 20's themed, like last years was supposed to be, maybe we could quickly dress up in some costumes, doesn't have to be are murder mystery ones, to keep them on the 20's themed instead of running off, like we did last year.

finally can't wait till camp starts. less than two weeks.

what year is this early mid or late 20's.

i say early 20's not to long after WWI (1914-1918 usa 1917-1918) and way before the Great Depression (1929)
